Creating a Course with Flexible Payment Options

If you want to create a course in Digital Access Pass (DAP) and offer multiple payment options, follow these steps to implement it without duplicating your course content:

Payment Options:

Say that you want to offer your course in three ways: a one-time payment, a two-pay plan, and a three-pay plan.

  • One-Time Payment: $995
  • Two Payment Plan: 2 payments of $525
  • Three Payment Plan: 3 payments of $365

Here’s how you can implement this in DAP:

Step 1: Create the Course

  1. Set Up Your Course:
    • In DAP, navigate to the Products menu, click on Courses, and then add a New Course.
    • Under the ‘billing/access’ tab, set the one-time payment option at $995.

Step 2: Create Payment Plans

You can create two separate products for your payment plans. These products won’t contain any content; they are solely for offering the payment plan. You can set up the payment plan in the Billing section of these products. Then, use product chaining to grant access to the actual course when users sign up for the payment plan.

  1. For payment plans:
    • Navigate to the Products menu, click on new product, and select “Membership“.
    • Setup 2 different membership products.
    • Membership 1: Set the price for the first membership to 2 payments of $525.
    • Membership 2: Set the price for the second membership to 3 payments of $365.
  2. Content Setup:
    • Important: Do not add any course content under these memberships. Their primary purpose is to generate payment links/buttons for the course.
  3. Utilize Product Chaining:
    • Use DAP’s product chaining feature to ensure that users who sign up for a payment plan automatically gain access to the course.

Step 3: Set Up Chaining Rules

  1. Access Chaining Settings:
    • Go to the DAP Dashboard.
    • Navigate to Products > Chaining.
  2. Create Chaining Rules:
    • Set up a chaining rule so that when a user subscribes to a specific membership or payment plan, they are granted automatic access to the linked course.

Step 4: Create Payment Buttons

  1. Generate Payment Buttons:
    • Create three distinct payment buttons:
      • One for the one-time course payment.
      • Two for the memberships (payment plans).

Step 5: Publish Payment Buttons

  1. Add Buttons to Your Sales Page:
    • Publish the buttons on your course sales page to facilitate easy access for potential buyers.

Optional: Payment Plan Options at Checkout

  • If you want to offer payment plan options directly on the checkout page, follow these steps:
    1. In Smart Pay Cart (SPC), create a payment button for the course.
    2. Enable the “payment plan” option for this button.
    3. Connect each plan to the appropriate payment plan product in DAP.

By following these steps, you can efficiently set up your course in DAP with multiple payment options while maintaining a streamlined content management process. This approach enhances the purchasing experience for your users and increases the potential for sales.
