With DAP, you can add users to your membership site in three different ways:
- Purchase: Someone buys your product or subscribes as a “Paid” member, granting them access to both free and paid content.
- Form Signup: Someone signs up through a signup form, becoming a “Free” member with access only to free content.
- Admin Added: You can add users directly through the DAP Admin Control Panel, marking them as either “Free” or “Paid.”
Below are the detailed steps for each method:
1. Purchase
To allow members to purchase access:
- Create a Sales Page for your product.
- Get the Buy Button link from your payment processor / shopping cart (as long as it integrates with DAP), and publish it on your sales page.
- The visitor goes to your sales page and purchases your product.
- Your payment processor notifies DAP of the new purchase. Ensure that the processor integrates seamlessly with DAP to automate member access.
- DAP will automatically create an account for the user, generate a random password, and send them a welcome email with their email/password. You can customize this email in the Notifications tab of the DAP product/course builder under Welcome Email Section.
2. Form Signup
To provide users with a “free” membership or free access to your lead magnet, create a free product in DAP, and then use DAP’s form builder to generate a registration form.
- Access the Form Builder:
- Navigate to the DAP Products menu and select Form Builder.
- Create a New Form:
- Click on Create a New Form.
- Select the option for a Free Product.
- Set up the redirect URL to send users to a specific page after sign-up.
- Customize the Form:
- Customize the form fields and appearance according to your preferences.
- Publish the Form:
- After customizing, publish the form and obtain the shortcode.
- Place the shortcode on your opt-in page in WordPress or any other location on your WordPress website where you want users to sign up.
- User Signup Flow:
- When someone fills in their details on the form, DAP creates an account for them, generates a random password, and sends them an email with their login information.
- If they later purchase a “Paid” product using the same email, DAP will automatically grant them access to the paid content under the same account.
External Signup Forms:
- You can also generate a signup form using other plugins, such as Smart Quiz Builder, as long as they integrate with DAP.
- Alternatively, use the HTML form code generated by DAP for free products and publish it on any page of your site.
3. Admin Added
If you want to directly grant someone access to a Product and its content, follow these steps:
- Add User via Admin Panel:
- Go to the DAP Admin Dashboard >> Members >> Add Page.
- Enter the user’s email address and first name (they can change these later).
- You can choose to mark them as a “Paid” user by checking the Mark as Paid checkbox, or leave it unchecked for a “Free” membership.
In summary, users can become members of your site through three primary methods: purchasing a product, signing up via a registration form, or being added directly by an admin. When users purchase a product, their account is automatically created, granting them access. For free memberships, users can register via a free signup form generated in DAP or integrated with DAP. Admins also have the option to manually add members and designate their access level.
